Are You Prepared For Success? (Section III - Installment #9 "Desire” – Male & Female versions)

(If this is your first time on this site, you may want to begin with "Are You Prepared For Success?" [Introduction])

If you are a regular reader of my Empowerment Process please read the Section II version of this poem first; then read this version.

Desire

I'm not too young and I'll never be too old;
I'm not too meek and I'm never too bold.
I'll set my sights, fix my mind on what I want to be.
With my desire and faith, I know I will see;
What I need and what it takes to make my dreams come true.
The seeds of greatness are within me, so my dreams I'll pursue.

The powers of faith and desire are strong.
With my belief in that power I just can't go wrong.
Nothing will happen if I sit home and hide.
My future is waiting for me to decide
What direction I'll take and how determined I am:
To see what can be and to know that I can.

I can feel it! I can see it! It's out there for me.
I know that nothing can stop me for I really do see.
How bad do I want it, how strong is my will?
My greatest wish is waiting for me to fulfill.
I'll say it loud, I'll say it often, I'll say it each and every day
"My desire is power and I will find the way."

(An Original Poem by Mel Kaye)

I strongly suggest that you write down your immediate reaction, after passionately reading this poem.
  • Refer to your list of desires from "Section (II)" and list the steps that you will take to achieve those desires.

  1. This is ruly beautiful. It is wise to confront your own self-created illusions and misperceptions. That is the most effective way to evolve and transcend them.

  4. Kim,
Visualization is a very important factor in success, one I have not given enough time to....but I will.

  5. Hey Mel,

I remember this one (from the previous installment)!!!

"I can feel it! I can see it! It's out there for me" right on!! This is so me, Mel...today, every blog I read it seems like they are telling me something cause I only read stuff that reflect me, my state of mind :D.

"I know that nothing can stop me for I really do see" you bet I can see, I can see beyond the apparent; and that is why I will go far!

"How bad do I want it, how strong is my will?" I want it! It is damn strong, my will...it can move mountains, I tell you!

"My desire is power and I will find the way." I have found the way, that's the beauty of it...all I have to do is keep walking until I reach the end of the road and open that white door that is waiting for me to open it! ;D

I will have to get back to this one, Mel (I still have to visit your "areyougrateful.com" site)...

  6. Max,
"all I have to do is keep walking until I reach the end of the road and open that white door that is waiting for me to open it! ;D" What concerns me about this type of statement is hoping that it's not "happiness" that awaits you behind that "white door."

Happiness should accompany you all along the road. That white door should symbolize the accomplishment of your current set of goals. Once that white door has been opened, there should be another road and another door and so on......

The key is that "happiness" is your constant companion. On one of my "Happiness" posts I state it as “Human nature is what drives us; happiness is what sustains us.”

  7. Mel,

I am Happy! I am a happy person by nature; so I walk my path towards the white door with happiness in my being.

Here in Portugal, people find it odd when me and my mom say that we are happy people, cause they say that "there isn't happiness, only happy moments!"...now, how absurd is this?

“Human nature is what drives us; happiness is what sustains us.” - Amen!

    Cheers

  8. Max,
A great response to those "happy moment" people, when they ask why are you so happy, is "because I choose to be happy."

  9. Mel,

You are right: it is a great response :D! I will pass it on to these folks here :D!

    Thanks ;D!
