Are You Prepared For Success? (Section III - Installment #15 "Only Me” – Male & Female versions)

(If this is your first time on this site, you may want to begin with "Are You Prepared For Success?" [Introduction])

If you are a regular reader of my Empowerment Process please read the Section II version of this poem first; then read this version.

Only Me

Whatever may happen, by accident or plan;
Whether by nature or whether by man;
No matter how terrible I feel I've been hit
I will look for the seed of a much greater benefit.

With every adversity, failure, and heartache;
With more bad news than I think I can take;
And all seems lost with nowhere to turn;
I'll take a deep breath, look, listen and learn.

Recovery and success are out there to find,
Because I believe in myself and I have a clear mind.
I'll stand up and stand tall and know that I will,
With courage and faith, conquer that hill.

I'm sure of myself, I know I won't fail.
I'll leave the doubters behind as I blaze my own trail.
Only I know what it is that I need.
I will decide not to fail, but succeed.

(An Original Poem by Mel Kaye)

I strongly suggest that you write down your immediate reaction, after passionately reading this poem.

  • Look at current disasters in your life and find opportunities. Now look at them again and list what you will do to capitalize on these opportunities?

  1. Hey Mel,

    I was at your previous section and such cute dogs!!!! I just felt like hugging them! But I am lacking time here, so I will comment on this one and then I must dash:

    Fantastic poem!
    Indeed our success depends on nobody but on ourselves! I read this poem and I felt right foot jumping of excitement lol...I subscribe every single word of it! :D

    Oy, Mel...now I bumped into a wall "current disasters" ...I don't have any! How am I supposed to answer this one? I had some in the past, but right now I don't really have them (thank God)!
    Opportunities...I have been introduced to some recently and I am taking time to see the pros and cons...so let's see! I don't do anything without pondering well on things...

    Well done, Mel :D!

    Cheers
