Why read Monday Morning Power?

You will find a consistency and a focus in all of my content that can change your attitude which can fuel a positive change in your life, if you want it to. If you are happy with your attitude and your life and see no reason for changing, then you either already have a PMA (Positive Mental Attitude), or you are a victim and want to hold onto your misery. These postings will then serve to fortify the person with PMA, or, hopefully, convince the "victim" that there is a better way. This site will contain essays, poems, stories, humor and links, all with the same goal: The pursuit, capture, care and feeding of a Positive Mental Attitude. I have had readers tell me that they have spent hours on my site and feel great about themselves both during and after. I log onto my own site frequently to help fuel my attitude; I hope you will as well.

To My Fellow Bloggers.....

Please feel free to link my blog to yours. A dose of "Monday Morning Power" would bolster any blog, except for those that profess doom, destruction and the end of the world. If you want to use any of my content in your blog, please ask first via email or by comment. I will need to review your blog for appropriate content and then give you written permission as well as being sure that you link back.

Monday Morning Power

A dose of "Monday Morning Power" and a cup of coffee and you're ready for whatever awaits you. At a minimum you should read this blog on Monday Mornings. However, there will be new posts daily. Whenever you want to feel good, tune in and help yourself to some "Monday Morning Power." Please share this site with everyone you care about. I welcome your comments and suggestions

Are You Prepared For Success? (Section II - Installment #30 "Foundation” – Male & Female versions)

(If this is your first time on this site, you may want to begin with "Are You Prepared For Success?" [Introduction]) (Please keep in mind that, although this poem can stand alone, it is meant to be part of a progression of poems that are part of an entire process.)

Foundation

Your foundation is near completion now.
Your attitude's in place.
Your confidence is growing strong,
As you increase your power-base.

Your past is just a memory;
A name without a face.
Never again will you ever run
In a rigged and futile race.

As you leave an era of your life,
You do so without disgrace.
Your future is awaiting you.
Your obstacles you will erase.

As you move towards your destiny,
With opportunities as vast as space,
You'll soar and swoop and live your dreams;
Your life, you'll now embrace.

(An Original Poem by Mel Kaye)
I strongly suggest that you write down your immediate reaction, after passionately reading this poem.
  • What is your destiny? (Keep it positive!)
  • What was your destiny?

That peaceful tree of wisdom in your opening image reminds me of a appealing setting in Australia. My boyfriend took a photo of me there. Our fairytale continues. It began as the biggest risk ever: http://blog.dreambuilders.com.au/journal/2007/3/29/the-biggest-risk-ever.html

Since then, its blossomed into a successful business partnership and so much more:

As far as I can see, this will only get better. Just like your post says, success begins in the mind. Imagine your relationship, career,ect, and make it happen.

Liara,
Great example of how we are in control of our own lives. By having the confidence that we can handle what ever life throws at us empowers us to take the risks that might prove the most fullfiling and fruitful.

Thank you for your inspiring comments.

Very good I like it. Yes your past is the foundation for the rest of you live. You learn, integrate new experiences and you get stronger.

Marja,
There are 2 ways of looking at this. Yes, your past can be the bases for a strong Foundation. But, your past can also be the bases for a very weak and shaky foundation. My reference is based on having read Section I and Section II of "The Process." In other words, your can create a new foundation if you recognize the weaknesses of your current one.
