Why read Monday Morning Power?

You will find a consistency and a focus in all of my content that can change your attitude which can fuel a positive change in your life, if you want it to. If you are happy with your attitude and your life and see no reason for changing, then you either already have a PMA (Positive Mental Attitude), or you are a victim and want to hold onto your misery. These postings will then serve to fortify the person with PMA, or, hopefully, convince the "victim" that there is a better way. This site will contain essays, poems, stories, humor and links, all with the same goal: The pursuit, capture, care and feeding of a Positive Mental Attitude. I have had readers tell me that they have spent hours on my site and feel great about themselves both during and after. I log onto my own site frequently to help fuel my attitude; I hope you will as well.

To My Fellow Bloggers.....

Please feel free to link my blog to yours. A dose of "Monday Morning Power" would bolster any blog, except for those that profess doom, destruction and the end of the world. If you want to use any of my content in your blog, please ask first via email or by comment. I will need to review your blog for appropriate content and then give you written permission as well as being sure that you link back.

Monday Morning Power

A dose of "Monday Morning Power" and a cup of coffee and you're ready for whatever awaits you. At a minimum you should read this blog on Monday Mornings. However, there will be new posts daily. You Might Be A True American if

I received this in an email today from Michelle and I had a swell of patriotism. Yes, we have our problems and some of them are significant, but I still believe that I live in the best country in the world. You will just have to forgive my patriotism, but every once in a while it shows it's beautiful head.

It is time to change from REDNECK humor to TRUE AMERICAN Humor!

Only it isn't seen as HUMOR, but the correct way to

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
It never occurred to you to be offended by the phrase, "One nation, under God."

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You've never protested about seeing the 10 Commandments posted in public places.

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You still say "Christmas" instead of "Winter Festival."

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You bow your head when someone prays.

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You stand and place your hand over your heart when they play the National Anthem.

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You treat Viet Nam vets with great respect, and always have.

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You've never burned an American flag.

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You know what you believe and you aren't afraid to say so, no matter who is listening.

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You respect your elders and expect your kids to do the same.

You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You'd give your last dollar to a friend.

God Bless the U S A ! Amen

I'm proud to be an American too Mel. Excellent. I see you've made it to the A-List blogger. Technorati Authority of 500 or more. Congratulations. :)

You caught the 500 before I did. Thanks for the congratulations. I feel that this is just the beginning.

"One nation, under God" - this is marvellous and I am not even an America (but because of this I could become one LOL) :).
"never protested about seeing the 10 commandments posted in public places" - this seems fine by me too.
Burning any flag is a sign of disrespect *nodding*.
"You know what you believe and you arent's afraid to say so, no matter who is listening" - it sounds like
"respect elders and expect your kids to do the same" - expect should be replaced by "teach"; other than that it is perfect; and I am with it!
"give the last dollar to a friend" - that sounds like my mom.

These seem to be great values :)! You have all the reasons to be proud of being an American, Mel :D!
But it seems to be that I have all that it needs to be one too LOL LOL :D!

I'll give you the "teach" Vs. "expect." That makes perfect sense.

You know, in rereading this post as well as your comments, the appropriate statement should be "proud to be a Human Being."
