Why read Monday Morning Power?

You will find a consistency and a focus in all of my content that can change your attitude which can fuel a positive change in your life, if you want it to. If you are happy with your attitude and your life and see no reason for changing, then you either already have a PMA (Positive Mental Attitude), or you are a victim and want to hold onto your misery. These postings will then serve to fortify the person with PMA, or, hopefully, convince the "victim" that there is a better way. This site will contain essays, poems, stories, humor and links, all with the same goal: The pursuit, capture, care and feeding of a Positive Mental Attitude. I have had readers tell me that they have spent hours on my site and feel great about themselves both during and after. I log onto my own site frequently to help fuel my attitude; I hope you will as well.

To My Fellow Bloggers.....

Please feel free to link my blog to yours. A dose of "Monday Morning Power" would bolster any blog, except for those that profess doom, destruction and the end of the world. If you want to use any of my content in your blog, please ask first via email or by comment. I will need to review your blog for appropriate content and then give you written permission as well as being sure that you link back.

Monday Morning Power

A dose of "Monday Morning Power" and a cup of coffee and you're ready for whatever awaits you. At a minimum you should read this blog on Monday Mornings. However, there will be new posts daily. Whenever you want to feel good, tune in and help yourself to some "Monday Morning Power." Please share this site with everyone you care about. I welcome your comments and suggestions

Are You Prepared For Success? (Section III - Installment #3 "The Rain Will Fall” – Male & Female versions)

If this is your first time on this site, you may want to begin with "Are You Prepared For Success?" [Introduction])

If you are a regular reader of my Empowerment Process please read the Section II version of this poem first; then read this version.

The Rain Will Fall

A soft wet mist engulfs the city
As a blue sky fades into a sad shade of gray.
A dark and dreary rain descends
As the sun successfully hides from the day.
The wind howls like a wounded beast
As it swoops down with its twists and its swirls
Leading dead leaves in a frantic dance
And so another day unfurls.

The cold clammy fingers of the day won't overcome me.
My happy dreams won't fade away.
My life no longer seems dark and dreary.
I will no longer hide from the day.
My thoughts won't reach for a shapeless past
No need to retrace my life's twists and turns.
In my focused search I have found myself
As my day begins without needless concerns.

I will quiet myself, and reflect a while.
And the sadness will pass because I know
That behind the mask I used to wear,
As behind the wind, the cold and the snow
That the sun still shines and the birds still sing.
For this sadness I felt befalls us all.
But I now know to see beyond.
Because into each life some rain will fall.

(An Original Poem by Mel Kaye)

I strongly suggest that you write down your immediate reaction, after passionately reading this poem.
  • How will you now deal with life when it rains on you?

I love the poem and especially the rain falling pic. Where did you get it? Rain is my favorite weather. I should come here for inspiration more often.
Thanks.

Mimi,

Inspiration, empowerment and attitude is what my site is all about. If you can't get inspired here, you can't get inspired.

I came across this pic quite a while ago, but needed the perfect post to show it.

Hello again Mel,

What can I say? After any turbulance comes peace and joy.
Knowing this, when bad times come along I stay still, take cover and start designing a strategy; then when the tempest is gone; I implement my plans. Of course I am not always successful in taking cover; sometimes I am stupid enough to want to face the storm; but I am learning...nowadays I react less, and think more.

When you say " I now know to see beyond" I know exactly what you mean: sometimes a situation seems one thing, but in truth it is the other (the owls are not what they seem). I learned how to see beyond the apparent reality (and this requires thought...that is why I react less, nowadays: I want to bestow upon myself time to think...no more wasting time, no more).

When it rains on me I will welcome the rain cause whatever it brings it is necessary for my personal growth and journey on earth.

This poem is marvellous, it had the same beginning of the previous one, right? Well thought :). Congratulations!!!

Cheers

Max,
What can I say, you've got it. Reactions are in our control.

The main difference between these poems and Section II poems is that these are First Person (I).... Ownership as opposed to just understanding.
