I have and will always be skeptical of anything that uses the word “secret” or “what others don’t want you to know.” The Law of Attraction is what is behind the book called “The Secret.” In my view, the basic Law of Attraction is sound, the problem is that when applying it to the attainment of wealth it is fundamentally flawed. However, applying it to wealth is the hook that draws in the people to spend their money and buy it.
In a way, it’s like a diet. There are hundreds and possibly thousands of diets out there, but for most people none of them work. The allure of weight loss, of the ease of the diet, using celebrities, appealing to our vanity, the fundamental concept of advertising is what is used to get us to spend our money on another diet that won’t work. Why won’t it work? It’s because our mindset is not there. We are looking for the easy way, the “secret,” the way with the littlest amount of work needed. If we are in the mindset that we will lose weight and do whatever it takes, then any one of the diets will work. It’s all in our heads! One of the hardest things to do is to step back from the situation and perform an objective analysis. We are too caught up in our lives to know what is best for ourselves.
When it comes to the attainment of wealth you have to be prepared. I have put together a program that will help prepare you for books like “The Secret” and I am not charging you a penny. It is all laid out in this blog “Are You Prepared for Success?” aka "The Process."
This is a complex subject and I could go on for hours, however, I just wanted to write a short essay. I elaborate more in the "The Process" and will probably write other essays with more detail.

Don't Mess With Kids
A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales. The teacher said it was physically impossible for a
whale to swallow a human because even though it
was a very large mammal its throat was very small. The little girl stated that Jonah was swallowed by a
whale. Irritated, the teacher reiterated that a whale could
not swallow a human; it was physically impossible.
The little girl said, "When I get to heaven I will ask
Jonah".
The teacher asked, "What if Jonah went to hell?"
The little girl replied, "Then you ask him ".
*********************************************************** A Kindergarten teacher was observing her classroom
of children while they were drawing. She would
occasionally walk around to see each child's work.
As she got to one little girl who was working diligently,
she asked what the drawing was.
The girl replied, "I'm drawing God."
The teacher paused and said, "But no one knows
what God looks like."
Without missing a beat, or looking up from her
drawing, the girl replied, "They will in a minute."
*****************************************************
A Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten
Commandments with her five and six year olds.
After explaining the commandment to "honor" thy
Father and thy Mother, she asked, "Is there a
commandment that teaches us how to treat our
brothers and sisters?"
Without missing a beat one little boy (the oldest
of a family) answered, "Thou shall not kill."
*****************************************************
One day a little girl was sitting and watching her
mother do the dishes at the kitchen sink. She
suddenly noticed that her mother had several
strands of white hair sticking out in contrast on her
brunette head.
She looked at her mother and inquisitively asked,
"Why are some of your hairs white, Mom?"
Her mother replied, "Well, every time that you do
something wrong and make me cry or unhappy,
one of my hairs turns white."
The little girl thought about this revelation for a while
and then said, "Momma, how come ALL of
grandma's hairs are white?"
********************************************************
The children had all been photographed, and
the teacher was trying to persuade them each to
buy a copy of the group picture.
"Just think how nice it will be to look at it when
you are all grown up and say, 'There's Jennifer,
she's a lawyer,' or 'That's Michael, He's a doctor.'
A small voice at the back of the room rang out,
"And there's the teacher, she's dead."
***************************************************
A teacher was giving a lesson on the circulation
of the blood. Trying to make the matter clearer,
she said, "Now, class, if I stood on my head, the
blood, as you know, would run into it, and I would
turn red in the face."
"Yes," the class said.
"Then why is it that while I am standing up right in
the ordinary position the blood doesn't run into
my feet?"
A little fellow shouted, "Cause your feet ain't empty."
********************************************************
The children were lined up in the cafeteria of a
Catholic elementary school for lunch. At the head
of the table was a large pile of apples. The nun
made a note, and posted on the apple tray:
"Take only ONE. God is watching."
Moving further along the lunch line, at the other
end of the table was a large pile of chocolate chip
cookies.
A child had written a note, "Take all you want. God
is busy watching the apples”.

Are You Prepared For Success? (Section II - Installment #10 "The Achiever” - Male and Female versions)
(If this is your first time on this site, please begin with "Are You Prepared For Success?" [Introduction])
The Achiever
The power of positive
Thinking is great.
As to this fact
There is no debate.
Great feats can be achieved
By woman or man
Simply because
You believes that you can.
Whatever the field,
Whatever the goal,
Whatever the task,
You know in your soul,
You know that it's true,
That no great achiever
Ever achieved greatness,
Not being a believer.
You too can be great,
Its not reserved for the few.
The next great achiever
Can actually be you.
You too can attain
These loftier heights.
Believe in yourself
And reset your sights.

12 Rules of Blogger Etiquette by MondayMorningPower
12 Rules of Blogger Etiquette by MondayMorningPower
- If you link to a site, try to visit that site at least once every 2-4 weeks.
- Always leave a comment on these sites.
- Always be honest and encouraging in your comments.
- Do not use gimmicks to attract readers. This will diminish the worth of what you are saying.
- If you give a blog more than a casual glance, leave a comment.
- If you see a blog that could have potential and you have an idea as to how to make it better, leave constructive comments.
- If you find a blog that deeply interests you, link to it.
- Announce in a comment in that blog that you have done so and invite the author to visit your blog.
- It is okay to ask for reciprocity but do not make your link contingent upon this.
- Encourage new bloggers, especially the ones that represent interesting content.
- Offer to swap links. (This differs from #6. I believe that with a new blogger, offering to help with a link to their site should be reciprocated.)
- When leaving a comment on a blog for the first time, let the author know how you found his/her blog, especially if you found it through a link on another blog.
- If you want to increase readership, you have to read other blogs and leave comments. "Do onto others as you would have them do onto you.”
- If you reprint another’s work, be sure that you give credit to the author and link to the author’s site. Most authors, including me, do not mind if you reprint their work as long as correct credit is given and a link-back is established.
- Be careful of copyright infringements.
- Plagiarism is bad.......very bad.
- Language and appropriateness is difficult to discuss. What is appropriate to one can be inappropriate to another. The same goes for language.
- You do have the ability (“Flag Blog”) to notify a Blogger of objectionable content.
- However, just like with television, you have the power to not visit objectionable blogs.
I have created this as a working document. I know that I have missed some points. Please, if you can add to this list, leave me a detailed comment and if I agree, I will update this post.
The more we can assist talented and dedicated aspiring bloggers the better the blogesphere will be for all of us. I do not see blogging as a competition, but a true sharing.

Automatic Technorati Tag Generator
It took a while for me to find this, but I found it to be invaluable so I though I would share it with everyone, giving credit where credit is due.
In searching for information on "Blogger Etiquette", which I will write about on a later post, I came upon a post called "Top 20 Tips For Beginner Bloggers," of which I found some useful information. However, the following paragraph struck me as extremely useful:
"Use Technorati tags at the end of your blog posts. Technorati tags are a way of classifying your blog posts by topic and have them added to Technoratis index (Technorati is the most important search engine for blogs). Use this automatic Technorati tag generator to avoid having to create the HTML code manually."
So I performed some extensive Google searches and came across the the following site: Fintan Darragh's Technorati Tag Generator.
For bloggers who want to increase their traffic, this is an absolute must!!

Don't Mess With Old Ladies
An older lady gets pulled over for speeding...
Older Woman: Is there a problem, Officer?
Officer: Ma'am, you were speeding.
Older Woman: Oh, I see.
Officer: Can I see your license please?
Older Woman: I'd give it to you but I don't have one.
Officer: Don't have one?
Older Woman: Lost it, 4 years ago for drunk driving.
Officer: I see...Can I see your vehicle registration papers please.
Older Woman: I can't do that.
Officer: Why not?
Older Woman: I stole this car.
Officer: Stole it?
Older Woman: Yes, and I killed and hacked up the owner.
Officer: You what?
Older Woman: His body parts are in plastic bags in the trunk if you want to see
The Officer looks at the woman and slowly backs away to his car and calls for back up. Within minutes 5 police cars circle the car. A senior officer slowly approaches the car, clasping his half drawn gun.
Officer 2: Ma'am, could you step out of your vehicle please!
The woman steps out of her vehicle.
Older woman: Is there a problem sir?
Officer 2: One of my officers told me that you have stolen this car and murdered the owner.
Older Woman: Murdered the owner?
Officer 2: Yes, could you please open the trunk of your car, please.
The woman opens the trunk, revealing nothing but an empty trunk.
Officer 2: Is this your car, ma'am?
Older Woman: Yes, here are the registration papers.
The officer is quite stunned.
Officer 2: One of my officers claims that you do not have a driving license.
The woman digs into her handbag and pulls out a clutch purse and hands it to the officer. The officer examines the license. He looks quite puzzled.
Officer 2: Thank you ma'am, one of my officers told me you didn't have a license, that you stole this car, and that you murdered and hacked up the owner.
Older Woman: Bet the liar told you I was speeding, too.

Climb Out of That Bucket and Live the Life of Your Dreams
The following article portrays a very nice visual analogy and an interesting way of looking at attaining your dreams.
Climb Out of That Bucket and Live the Life of Your Dreams
By: Joe Farcht
From birth to adulthood we learn to become good citizens and well-adjusted adults in the world of work and life. Many people make this transformation relatively successfully and lead somewhat normal, happy lives.
Some people make it to adulthood grumbling and blaming the world for all the "bad things" it brings their way including the job they hate. Others can't make the adjustment at all and wind up in prison or dead.
What I'll call the "normal" group - the one that achieves a somewhat happy existence - learns to live by a set of rules, norms, and expectations that often limit their growth, potential, and true greatness.
A few members of this "normal" group discover something special about themselves, make a choice to excel, and take action to create the life of their dreams. They do it without the support of the normal group.
You see, the normal group wants its members to be just normal. By the way, work groups and some families act in the same way. They discourage their members from getting ahead (of the other normal group members).
The Normal Group is Crabby
If you've ever been crabbing, you've seen the "normal" group in action!
You catch crabs by attaching some meat (often a chicken neck) to a long piece of cord and lowering it to the bottom of the bay. Crabs attach themselves to the meat and begin eating. You raise the meat and catch the crabs in a net. Then you throw the crabs into a bucket to keep them from running around the boat and pinching people.
Watch the crabs and you will see that as soon as one crab tries to escape the bucket by climbing out, the other crabs will pull it back down into the bucket. There's no escape from the bucket.
Life is often like that. A person wants to get ahead and knows that there is more to work and life than what they are presently experiencing.
Get Out of the Bucket!
It takes personal leadership to become aware that escaping the normal is possible. It takes personal leadership to choose and commit to creating a better life. It takes personal leadership to take the actions necessary to propel yourself and create the new future you imagine and want.
You can do it. . . All things are possible. Many others in our great land have done it.
Don't let the other crabs in your life prevent you from developing your unique potential and discovering your greatness.

Patriotism & Denzel Washington

Subject: Denzel Washington, and
Don't know whether you heard about this
but Denzel Washington and his family visited
the troops at
is where soldiers who have been evacuated from
States
buildings there called Fisher Houses. The Fisher
House is a Hotel where soldiers' families can stay,
for little or no charge, while their soldier is staying
in the Hospital. BAMC has quite a few of these houses
on base, but as you can imagine, they are almost filled
most of the time.
While Denzel Washington was visiting BAMC, they gave
him a tour of one of the Fisher Houses. He asked how
much one of them would cost to build. He took his check
book out and wrote a check for the full amount right there
on the spot. The soldiers overseas were amazed to hear
this story and want to get the word out to the American
public, because it warmed their hearts to hear it.
The question I have is why does:
Brad Pitt
Madonna,
Tom Cruise and
other
make front page news with their ridiculous
antics and Denzel Washington's Patriotism
doesn't even make page 3 in the Metro section of
any newspaper except the Local newspaper in
Antonio

A true American and friend to all in uniform!
This needs as wide a distribution
as we can create.
GOD BLESS YOU DENZEL

(If this is your first time on this site, please begin with "Are You Prepared For Success?" [Introduction])
Desire
You're never too young and your never too old;
You're never too meek and your never too bold.
Set your sights, fix your mind on what you want to be.
If your desire is strong enough, then you will see
What you need and what it takes to make your dreams come true.
The seeds of greatness are there within you.
The power of faith and desire is strong.
With your belief in that power you just can't go wrong.
Nothing will happen if you sit home and hide.
Your future is waiting for you to decide
What direction you'll take and how determined you are;
To see what can be and know you'll go far.
Can you feel it? Can you see it? It's out there for you.
Know that nothing can stop you from seeing it too.
How bad do you want it, how strong is your will?
You're greatest wish is waiting for you to fulfill.
Say it loud, say it often, say it each and every day
"Your desire is power and you will find the way."
